Vessels with a LOA less than 50 metres

Low season*: 30 September to 28 April

07.00-18.00: Lockage when needed.

High season*: 29 April to 29 September

07.00-23.30: Lockage when needed.

Vessels with a LOA exceeding 50 metres

Lockage must be requested at least 5 hours prior and must be confirmed 1 hour prior to passage, at the earliest the day before. The  Contact the Port and Traffic Control, phone +46 8 670 28 10.

Lock fee for commercial traffic

All vessels used commercially or professionally – e.g. work boat, chartered vessel, government vessel, school vessel - are charged according to the tariff for commercial traffic. Ships equipped with "blue lights" - e.g. police, emergency services - pay no fee.

Vessel up to 300 GT: SEK 750/passage
Vessel over 300 GT: SEK 3,04 per GT/passage

Vessels for commercial traffic have the option of paying an annual fee of SEK 300,000/vessel. The annual fee allows an unlimited number of passages per calendar year.

The lock fee for commercial traffic is exclusive of VAT. 

Payment for commercial traffic

Commercial traffic vessels are invoiced monthly in retrospect. In order to be invoiced, Ports of Stockholm must have the customer's invoicing information. Here you can register billing details (external link)

If invoicing information is missing, it is also possible to pay a one-off fee by card on site in the lock.
