Ports of Stockholm has signed a tenancy agreement with fashion brand GANT for premises of 4,700 square meters in the historic Magasin 3 warehouse building, thereby welcoming yet another creative tenant to Frihamnen. Frihamnen port is developing and growing hand-in-hand with the city, with more and more tenants are gravitating to this exciting port regeneration area.

Ports of Stockholm and GANT, in collaboration with consultancy firm CBRE, have signed a seven year tenancy agreement for premises of 4,700 square meters at Frihamnen port in Stockholm. The premises are on the ground floor of the Magasin 3 building, one of the historic warehouse buildings at the port with a panoramic view over the water. The moving in date is anticipated to be summer 2024.

“We are delighted to welcome GANT to our unique premises at the Frihamnen port. We are looking forward to yet another renowned and creative tenant moving in and making their mark on an area that is growing hand-in-hand with the city in the Stockholm Royal Seaport urban renewal project,” says Clas Westerberg, Property Marketing Manager at Ports of Stockholm.

Ports of Stockholm is now converting the historic warehouse building into a vibrant and inspiring environment for offices, showrooms, a design studio and catwalk. This is a major undertaking, focused on preserving, restoring and highlighting the unique architectural features, while at the same time developing the industrial character of the warehouse building.

“As a brand, we are undergoing an exciting period of transformation. Moving our head office to newly renovated premises is a natural part of our journey. The aim is to create an environment that promotes new ideas, knowledge, curiosity and community spirit. Being able to offer our associates this new work environment, where we hope they will find inspiration, develop and thrive is something we are looking forward to very much,” says Patrik Söderström, GANT CEO.

Fashion brand GANT was founded in 1949 in the USA by Bernard Gantmacher. Today GANT has stores in more than 70 countries. Now they are moving their global head office, with 350 workers, to Frihamnen port in Stockholm.

Ports of Stockholm has around one-hundred tenants at the Frihamnen port, whose business areas range from shipping and marine innovation to media companies, museums, and the restaurant and brewing industries. Ports of Stockholm manages 127,000 square meters of property area at the Frihamnen port. All of the buildings are unique, boasting a long history that creates a special environment.
